Founded in 1897, Piedmont University is a private, comprehensive liberal arts university with an enrollment of approximately 2,500 students at campuses in Demorest and Athens, Georgia.

The Graduate Recruiter/Advisor engages in all phases of student recruitment and counseling activities, reviews admissions applications, assists with admissions application processing, represents the university at local and regional recruitment events, and coordinates special on and off-campus recruitment programs for the northern part of the state of Georgia from the mid-state region.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of the Graduate Recruiter to serve as a member of the Graduate Admissions team with primary responsibility for representing Piedmont University at various recruitment functions and programs such as visits, fairs, business fairs, hospitals, and civic and social organizations.

Responsible for the recruitment and management of a specific geographic recruitment region.

Manages all aspects of recruitment trips, including creating travel arrangements, event presentations, and post-event follow-up in the northern part of the state for all graduate programs.

Maintains prospects and applicants in the current database.

Actively seeks opportunities to showcase college programs and initiatives in the wider community.

Develops and coordinates a database of professionals in the business, education district offices, and health care field to further Piedmont’s recruitment efforts.

Works with our Other Recruiter(s) to develop (and maintain) communication strategies for prospective students for all graduate programs, including letters, emails, texting, zoom meetings, and personal appointments.

Ensures contact with every prospective student via phone or email with expediency upon prospect inquiry.

Mobilizes current students and alumni to assist in recruitment and marketing.

Partners with the Director of Graduate Admissions and other division program administrators in collaborating on marketing and recruitment issues as they relate to prospective student enrollment initiatives.

Willingly works the number and non-traditional hours necessary to successfully recruit working professionals and meet enrollment and job objectives.

Maintain a detailed knowledge of degree programs, including admissions requirements, curriculum, policies, and procedures.

Will advise & counsel prospective students, applicants and other interested parties on Piedmont University graduate admissions policies, procedures, and requirements.

Prepares reports and proposals and responds to inquiries from students and external agencies.

Other relevant duties as assigned.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

On-site work is required.

Incumbents must remain relevant in the area of employment and flexible to changes in work related to institutional needs.

Typical Qualifications

Education and Experience
Successful incumbents will have a Bachelor's degree, with a  Master's degree preferred.
At least 3+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Higher education experience preferred

Licenses and Certification
Valid Georgia Driver’s License (or obtained within 30 days of hire date) and satisfactory MVR.
