The Executive Director of Recruitment will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract a diverse and talented student body to Wesleyan College. This position will manage the Recruitment department, oversee all aspects of the recruitment process, from initial inquiry to enrollment, and will work collaboratively with various departments to ensure alignment with the college’s strategic goals. The Executive Director will be a key player in driving the college's growth and reputation including leading a team of on the road recruiters providing administrative support and coordination with a continued focus on coaching for results and driving goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic recruitment plan to meet the college's enrollment goals.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and management oversight to recruitment and outreach functions as part of the enrollment management senior leadership team.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to optimize recruitment efforts and outcomes by analyzing market trends, demographic data, and competitor strategies.
  • Analyze inquiry and application trends to identify potential opportunities for advancement or efficiency; monitors admissions activities and conducts a thorough analysis of key performance indicators.
  • Work closely with the admissions office, marketing and communications, academic departments, and other key stakeholders to ensure cohesive recruitment efforts.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and promote academic programs and student services that attract prospective students.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Manage a team of local and regional recruiters.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in higher education administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in college recruitment and/or admissions, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Ability to analyze data and use insights to drive recruitment strategies.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the recruitment process.
  • Demonstrates clear organization skills, self-driven initiative, effective oral and written communication skills, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to think strategically and align college priorities.
