The Senior Associate Registrar reports to the Registrar and is responsible for daily operations within the Office of the Registrar including areas such as customer service, registration, student records, readmission, Listener's License, and other initiatives. This position manages the staff of charger central and student records. This position is also responsible for the Assessment and Evaluation of the Unit and the Senior Associate Registrar will serve as the primary backup to the University Registrar.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Oversee, supervise, and assist with the management of the registration process, including prerequisite, correquisite, registration restrictions, or other registration approvals.
• Incorporate all curriculum changes into degree audit and catalog systems.
• Perform maintenance of accurate academic records, evaluation of coursework transferred into the college, and activities related to enrollment and degree verifications.
• Manage and assist with planning, organization, and implementation of new technology initiatives related to functions of the Records and Registration office and the campus at large; set up, test, and monitor changes to the Ellucian Banner student information system, Kuali system, and Argos relevant to the Records and Registration office; provide training and supervision in technology area pertaining to registration (Banner), scheduling software (Ad Astra), curriculum management (Kuali), and reporting (Argos).
• Actively participate in unit activities including commencement to include set up, delivery of services, ensuring attendance during the event, and breakdown of the event.
• Manage office websites to provide relevant information, including the Registrar's home page, Charger Central, and commencement sites.
• Manage, and assist with the development and maintenance of ongoing operational processes. improvement plans and continuity plans for disaster recovery including replacement of technical devices on a rotational schedule.
• Manage reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse data including audit results, error corrections, and validation with NSLDS data. • • •
• Supervise timely and complete grade submission process each academic term.
• Ensure thorough and consistent compliance with academic policies.
• Provide primary support to the Office of the Provost as related to catalog and course management.
• Manage the Office of the Registrar and attend any meetings in the absence of the Registrar.
• Assist with, and coordinate any new initiatives assigned by the Registrar, familiarity with FERPA, and the ability to present FERPA information to the University community.
